Old farts enjoy bowling

We bowl in a senior league on Thursday mornings at Orchard Lanes in Lewiston Id. (a fun place to bowl.) This past week I started out on fire six strikes in a row and coasted in with 234. Dennis the high average bowler on the other team was a little set aback with my strike run but came right back with six in the middle frames and closed out with 245. I could not fine a strike for four frames of the second game but then ran three strikes, opened the ninth frame with a split and ended up at 190.
Dennis on the other hand was still hot and ended the second game with a 223.
I talked to Dennis and told him that I was trying to put the ball a little farther out on the strike line and it worked. I had a strike in the first frame but miss the four pin and had a split to end up with 188 for 612 series, not bad for me that is 66 pins over my average. I had told Dennis he needed 232 for a 700 and he said no way, that he had never posted a 700. Dennis opened the first frame but ran seven in a row open the ninth and spare, strike in the tenth for a 236 and a 704 series, 128 pins over his average.
